Advice from One Parent to Another

As a proud mother of two young adults identified as TAG, both with their own unique giftedness and the challenges that come along with it, I understand the joys and frustrations of raising two highly intelligent kids. Over the last 25 years I spent my time researching and studying how to best support each of my kids both at home and within the public school system.

Pathways for Gifted parent and family support is designed to be:

  • Based upon best practices and current research

  • Customized with your own unique child or children in mind

  • Innovative and creative strategies that you can put into action right away and use from year to year

  • Designed to support the whole child and the family as a team

  • Based on the academic, social, and emotional needs your child’s unique experiences

Consultations are available in-person and virtually to fit your needs.

Nurturing their giftedness - How to foster growth at home:

Raising gifted children, and navigating the unique characteristics they possess, can be exciting yet overwhelming, fulfilling yet challenging. Family and community surrounding each child creates the team that plays a vital role in supporting the gifted learner. I offer tutoring services - both for individuals and groups; webinars focused on an understanding of gifted students academically and socially; help create strong instructional plans for the student; provide advocacy and facilitate a collaborative partnership with families, educators, schools, and more. The goal is to work together in order to find the tools and build the foundation of success for each child with all parties working together to nurture student success.
